| In response to Re: Toilet bowl gasket: Wax or "wax free"? | |
|
I have only used two of them. The first one I did according to their directions but was frustrated by not being able to be sure that the bowl made a good insertion into the gasket. The second one I installed the seal on the bowl first and then inserted it into the pipe. Doing it this way ensures a positive seal, but requires a second person to guide the unit into place in the pipe. : I'm about to install a Toto "ulimate" toilet and I'm trying to decide on the type of gasket to use. : I have the Fluidmaster "No-Seep No. 3" which is a urethane reinforced wax gasket and the Fluidmaster "wax free" bowl gasket (Model 7500). : I'm tempted to use the wax free model sice it looks like a nice clean design. But I have no experience with this type of set-up. : I've linked the Fluidmaster website which describes the wax free gasket. : Any thoughts or comments? : Bob
