: Terry, I just purchased a house that was built in 1938 with galvanized pipes. My wife is expecting a baby in November. My question is: Should I have the galvanized pipes replaced that are above ground. I had a plumber inform me that the pipes above the ground were in good shape and that I should replace the pipes in the ground. Or should I have all the galvanized pipes removed?

The plumber that looked at it should have a better take on it than me.
The pipe flow may be good enough for you right now.
When I do repipes, I replace all of the pipe and fittings. Terry
