Toilets frequently clog

First off, I'm a plumbing newbie. Just bought a new (used) house, @6 years old and in great working order overall. Of the 5 bathrooms, 2 have clogged a few times already with little 'foreign material' causing the problem. One in the basement, one on the top level.

What are my options to correct?

Toilet replacement?
Is there an add-on device that will give the flush more 'push'?
Call a plumber to investigate / snake?

Water pressure in the house is good.
