bathroom in walkout basement using septic system

Hi! I will be buildind a small log home on a small lake. I will be having a finished walkout basement. I would like to have a full bath in the walkout but my builder seems to be discourging me from doing so. He tells me that I will have to have a special pump system that is costly and requires alot of maintance according to my builder. Is there any truth to what he is telling me? I really would like to have a bath down there........what can I do?? Thank You, John Pravato
