: I assume that if the outside faucet keeps dripping after I turn the handle off, I need to replace the washer, and if it leaks from the faucet sillcock body when the valve is open (like when connected to a hose) that I need to do something with the packing nut and the packing. : I took off the handle and the packing nut, but I can't get the stem to budge. What are the steps for removing the stem, changing the washer, and replacing the packing? I don't want to make it worse.
