As a real estate agent, I just was at an inspection of a septic system for a 2 bedroom home that has been used no more than 15 weekends in the past 10 years. According to the inspector, he thinks there must be a slow leak in the tank as the water (which is clear) is not up to the baffles. For $900 they want to dig up around the septic tank to repair this leak which is either on the seam or to replace the plug. What do you think - Is this the only solution. I hate to have my seller renegotiate this deal and I'm sure the buyer would prefer not having to dig up the lawn. Any suggestion would be most appreciated. Thank you. |
