Ignore that ridiculous answer from the other guy who replied. The problem is electrolysis. Somewhere along the run of copper there is metal touching your pipe. Make sure the hangers holding the line are not galvanized. They must be copper or insulated if they are metal. This will cause the line ro deteriorate.
