You might want to find out why it slopes 2". That is too much for a construction oversight.
: I have my 9x8 hall bathroom completely gutted, down to the studs and floor joist. I discovered the floor joist are not level; the floor slopes approx. 2". I decided the best way to handle this is to add the appropriate size shims the entire length of each of the lower joists. Questions:
: 1.) Any other suggestions on fixing the slope?
: 2.) When adding the subfloor, will I want to use 1/2" or 3/4" plywood? (I will be also putting down on top of the plywood 1/2" cement board for my tile floor.)
