I am remodeling my basement. There is a sink and toilet already there and I want to add a shower. My current situation is the sink and toilet lack a vent pipe and has caused some problems with my toilet sucking air and draining the water out of the bowl. I want to add a vent pipe when I dig up the floor. Can I tap into an existing vent. If so - how far can the tap in be from the toilet sink and shower?
