Sometime when the mains get flushed this stirs up the setiment and causes discoloration. I have a rental in a resort town where the water gets brownish when people arrive for the summer after a day or two it gets back to normal. If you have a well than it may be another problem. : All of the water in our building is coming out with a yellow tint to it. I believe that it it due to rust. I'm looking for a good way to clean or de-rust the pipes without having to completly redue the plumbing. The plumbing does not get used every day in this particular building, so I don't know is that has anything to do with the problem. Also is there any other possibility as to what would be causing the problem? Thanks.
