Whether it is too high depends on the toilet you use. Some have very shallow recesses and others are deep. If the toilet does not rest on the flange when you put it in place then it is okay. The bolts being further from the wall will just leave more space behind the toilet.
: I bought a house that the previous owner started to finish the basement. The 4x3 closet flange is sitting 3/8" above the concrete. We plan to put in a linoleum floor. Do I need to remove this closet flange or will toilet seat O.K. Also, bolts are situated 13 5/8" from wall. PLEASE ADVISE. Thanks.
