|In response to Re: New Gas Line Installation Question.|
: I am about to begin remodeling my kitchen. I want to change my island-stove top from Elect to Gas. My question is it possible to run the gas line down to my kitchen from the furnace then across to the stovetop via the vent duct for the stovetop exhaust. I rather not break the concrete due to the house has pillars installed on that side for leveling. Last question who would I get to install the gas line a plumber or the Gas Company.
In our code if we add a gasline more than 20' it has to be air tested and inspected. The btu load of cooktop and length of the piping will determine
whether you can tie in at the furnace.Any licensed
gasfitter should be able to handle the job
