Shower Pans

We recently purchased a home that had water damage by the shower. Upon tearing out the existing shower surface, we noted the shower doesn't have green board on three of the four sides. Because the leak is substantial, we are replacing the texture of the shower with tile and our supplier suggests as long as we're down to the green board we go ahead and replace the shower pan, especially since this was definitely not a quality install to begin with and we don't know exactly how what all is leaking. We purchased the rubber flooring and a sandmix concrete. Do we have to let the concrete cure for the full five to eight days or does it matter in a shower? HELP
