I have to install a new toilet onto existing bolts that are embedded into concrete slab. I have layed tile on top of the slab, but I
didn't tile around the bolts, so there is a quarter inch drop from the tile surface to the slab about one inch surrounding the drain
hole. So my question is: will the wax ring seal properly over this irregularity? Do I need to install some kind of flange before I put
the toilet down? Or do I need to tile right up to the edge of the drain hole?
