I replaced my switch once in five years
My pump was going off and on frequently I found that the air in my tank was not equal to the cut in setting example: if cut in is 20lb then there should only be 20lbs of pressure "air" in tank.
If there is more then the required lbs of pressure according to cut in on switch it will cause the pump to continualy turn off and on breaking down the contacts in the switch
