|In response to Re: Basement bathroom|
:There is an existing pit and vent. The vent however does not go into the top of the pit. Rather the vent goes into the floor of the basement and then goes into the side of the pit. Does this matter?
: Everything in the basement can go to the single pit. Everything has to be vented, including the pit. However, if the pit's cover is not sealed properly and the vent is connected to the house vent system, then sewer gases can enter the pipe and the into the basement due to the bad cover seal.
: : I am putting a full bath in my basement that I am finishing. I want to know if I can have a floor drain, toilet, sink, and tub all on the same line going to the ejector pit. Everything will be within 6-8 feet of the ejector pit. The pit itself will be vented, but do I need to vent any of the other lines from the tub or sink before going to the pit? Thanks. All help is appreciated.
