Full bore means that when the valve is open ,the port inside the valve,where the water passes through,is the same inside diameter as the pipe it serves.Why dont we call it full size?I dont know.Why do we call the valve inside a toilet a ballcock?This could say something about most plumbers machismo.Were not all John Wayne ,but we try.MikeStheplumber
