Unless you spill water on the floor the traps are probably drying out. Pour water down the drains once a week and it should cure the problem. : I live in chicago. I have a family in my basement where the kids are most of the time they do weekend sleepovers and the like. For the past 2 weeks there has been an odor from the sewer in the basement it comes and goes. We rotted out 3 months ago so I know it isnt from that. I need to know how i can get rid of the odor . I will have them cemented in just to stop the odor. Thank You Tina Chicago
