You can use tile in a shower floor so long as you build the pan right. I prefer fiber glass but other materials can do the job. Terry has a diagram on how one should be built. Do a search on his web-site. : : we are re tiling our shower and also want to get rid of the old pan...is there any such thing as a ceramic : shower pan ? : the fibreglass pans just never seem to look good for long and it seems there must be something other than fibreglass...but no one seems to know. : thanks
