This seems to be an area where it's hard for a consumer to get consistent advice, even from professionals (folks w/ Water Quality Association certification, etc.) I'm wondering if the plumbers out there can speak to the relative qualities of systems made by Kinetico, EcoWater, RainSoft, Culligan, Marlo/ Watermann, Chandler Systems, etc. Fleck and Clack (!) seem to make the best valves, as far as I can tell. Each claims to be the best, but once again, it's hard for a novice to sort out the competing claims. (FYI, we currently have very high iron levels in our well water, plus hard water -- > 8 grains.) With Thanks, Cab |
