|In response to Re: Leaking Noisy|
Most of the time the sound is caused by pipes expanding when hot water is run through them. The pipes are attached to, or go through, the wooden studs but are tight but not tight enough so they slide against the wood making the noise. They will make the noise as the pipe heats up, and also as it cools down but at a slower rate.
: My wife and I purchased a 2 story home. For a month now when we flush the toilets or run water from the faucets both up & down stairs the pipes sounds like they are leaking but we cannot locate any evidence of water damage. What possibly could this be?
