The drain is secured to the shower base with a locknut, so you have to free it from the drain pipe. Most of them are fastened with a rubber gasket that will slide off the pipe when you raise the shower base. : any advice on how to remove an old shower drain from an old fiberglass shower pan would be greatly appreciated.
