It's probably a loose washer. Be sure to turn the
water off before you take it apart. The procedure is similar to most other washer repairs; loosen the nut, remove stem and replace washer. The only
problem is, if you screw it up you will have to keep the water off until you fix it. Unless you have shut offs that isolate the bathroom.
: We were getting a foghorn sound in our home everytime the water was turned off. We isoleted the cause to be a shut off valve behind one of our toilets. It vibrates and makes that noise. The question is how do you replace or fix it?
