Usually, the tiles pry up quite easily. Get a flat chisel and give it a try.
After you've removed all the tile and debris, allow the floor to dry out a couple days (if the shower has been in recent use). Then install the new tiles with thin set mortar. The thin set will repair the dings as you go along.
