: Hi,

: This is Dave. I had a plumber out at the house recently for another problem. While he was there I had him take a look at one of the toilets that hasen't been working properly. The water fills to the proper level but it does not flush well. The water rises then drains slowly. It takes two to three flushes to empty it properly. He said a toy is most likely stuck in the S-curve before it goes to the drain. This is the probable cause since my son or his friends are facinated with the toilet. The plumber tried an auger for while but could not fix it. He recommended unbolting the toilet to remove the toy or replacing it altogether if the toy could not be removed.

: Is there another solution I can try before I have to unbolt or replace the unit? Will a high force air plunger work? Let me know what you think.

: Thank you,
: Dave Montaug

Dave,
Your plumber is very smart.
If he's looking for work in the Seattle area, have him give me a call.
Terry
