My wife and I just bought a house built in 1957. We love it, but the water pressure, especially in the showers, is not very good. Is there anything we can do? I plan to inspect the showerhead, but I suspect it is a more global problem. The house is essentially a row home in urban Philadelphia, but you should note that our lot is artificially raised off of street level, putting our basement at the same elevation as our neighbors' first floor (perhaps that effects water pressure?). Thanks for any advice you can give us.
