Often times the seller of a home uses unlicensed plumbers to "fix" a leaking faucet, and that "less expensive" repairperson connects the cold fixture to the hot angle stop. This is known as a cross connection.

Interesting, isn't it? Now the cost for that "less expensive repair" gets to get duplicated, or more, just to fix what a LICENSED plumber wouldn't have done in the first place.

I have just moved into a house that is 30 years old. Some of the faucets produce only warm or hot water, even when I only have the cold water spicket turned full on. I've tried both spickets on by themselves alone and both spickets on at the same time. Only warm water or hot water comes out. Can you tell me what the problem is and how to fix it?
