: I'm planning a bathroom remodel and wanted to put in a whirlpool tub. Really liked the Ultra Bath models because of their length/width combinations and emphasis on the health benefits, but wasn't familiar with the brand. The company is located in Canada, no local dealers... Anybody familiar with the pros/cons associated with this bath? Can I use it as a bath/shower combination?
I have an UltraBath bath tub in my new bathroom and I love it. I use it as a shower most of the time. Because there are no water jets (UltraBath uses air jets) I can use any type of bath oil or bath bubbles I want and it won't hurt the tub. The manufacture encourges using bath bubbles while the jets are running. Also the tub does not have to be very full to utilize the jets since the jet holes are along the bottom of the tub. My tub come with a heated back rest which is also very nice. I mounted the control panel on the wall just outside the tub and that has worked out nice too.
