My toilet is making puzzling noises. After it finishes flushing and is refilled, I hear a noise as if there were a leak or a drip. But there is no overflow and there is a good seal on the bottom, so no water is leaking out there.
The noise stops when I push down on the ball cock. It also can start after a period of absolute silence, so I am pretty sure it is not a leak at the top or the bottom. Is there a leak or should I disregard it?
