Get the pump manufacturer's specifications and use the pump that has the best capacity at the depth where it will be placed, without going overboard on the volume available. : I would like to replace my 1/2 hp deep well jet pump with a submersible. My well casing is 6" I am pumping from 85 feet. currently, using 1 1/4" and 1"pipes. My house is a one story ranch with 1 and 1/2 baths, kitchen sink, washing machine and deep sink in the laundry area. Can use 115 vac or 230 vac, 60 cycle. What hp and number of stages do I need? :
