|In response to Re: placement of new drain for toilet|
: I need to know how much space to leave between wall and drain pipe when installing a toilet drain in a new slab.
Normal roughin for a toilet is 12" from finished wall from the back and 15" from the side.
Since you will have wallboard, or drywall on the wood studs, you will need to add that thickness also. Many plumbers rough them in 13" from the rough stud framing allowing for drywall and tile, just in case.
