Today I took the toilet off and stuck a garden hose in the adaptor and cranked up the H20 to full flow and no leak at the wax ring or the plastic adaptor. I did have the hose in below the black rubber ring. I noticed the black ring has a plastic "tie" around it that can be slipped off. Where could I get another rubber ring to try that possibility? Should I just pull off the old black rubber ring and inspect it? Would a crack be readily visible? I really appreciate your help!
