Many fiberglass tubs do have a reddish base, so your evaluation may be correct. You could contact a fiberglass repair company to see if it can be resurfaced. This would be the thing to do regardless of the cause of the stain.
: I have a reddish stain on my gray fiberglass tub that resists soft scrub/bleach. Any suggestions ? Is it possible that the gray top coat has worn away and the underneath surface is reddish ?
