If the tub is in good condition, just replace the tile, otherwise replace the tub and tile. Donot use a tub insert. They are a last ditch effort when the user does not want to replace the tub. After a while you can have a different set of problems with them and then you may still have to do the replacement. : I have a bathroom with a nice sturdy cast-iron tub but the thin-set tile above the tub is shot and lets : water leak to the first floor. Is it more of a hassel to replace the whole thing, or to pull the tile and be : careful not to damage any of the tub?
