|In response to Re: leaking valve|
this is a float air vent to evacuate the air which the scoop is releasing from the water. There is no good way to repair it, but by the time they start leaking, they have given good service and deserve to be replaced.
: Oil forced hot water furnace. Over the furnace is the expansion tank which is threaded into a Taco air scoop. On top of the air scoop there is some sort of brass breather valve which, lately, has been leaking a good deal of water. It leaks worse when there is no heat being called for. When heat is circulating, very little water drips out.
: any advice?
