|In response to Re: Enormous water usage|
: To make a long story short, we used 69,000 gallons last month and our most recent water bill indicates a 71,000 gallon usage over a 30 day period. After many conversations with the MUD District and a visit from the plumber, we found a leak at the front of the house where the PVC connects with the house shut-off valve and then to the outside faucet. The leak has been repaired. I now have to pay approximately $700 in water bills. My question: The MUD District is telling me that a drop per minute can equal up to 1,000 gallons of additional usage per day. My normal usage per month is approximately 11,000 gallons. I find it very hard to believe that I have used an additional 70,000 gallons and I am not floating away. Yes, we are in a drought but I would think that if I was leaking that much water I would least have a puddle in my yard. Any information would be appreciated. I don't feel I should have to pay this ridiculous water bill and I need all the facts I can get.
: Thanks so much,
