Ami:--Good move..Gas heaters in bathrooms and sleeping rooms are forbidden by most codes.
The piping will need to be capped off as well as the vents (if they were vented heaters). The cost for the cosmetic reperations will depend to a large extent on what you want the finished walls to look like when all the dust settles. Tile..plaster..wall paper..will a carpenter be needed to close the openings?
Lots of luck ..Bud.
My husband and I are buying our first home. We need to remove the in wall gas heaters in both bathrooms as they are not needed due to our warm climte and for safety reasons. We would like to hear from anyone who has experience with this and who knows how much it might cost. Thanks in advance!
