Mysterious Crane Toilet Tank Cracks

Two weeks ago, the tank of one of our Crane toilets cracked, resulting in a cascade of water that continued for about four hours. The fracture initiated at the top, and propagated downward about twelve inches. After a couple weeks of drying out our house, we arrived home to find that the tank had cracked on a second toilet in a different bathroom. The crack was almost identical. Should we replace our third and final tank, which is of the same casting date (October 26, 1995)before it fails too?
