: No one likes to hear a full grown man screaming in a soprano tremolo voice each time the water goes cold..or hot. Life is much to short for these little avoidable unpleasentnesses. If it was me with the goose bump/scalding problem, I would opt for the pressure balancing Tub and shower valve. If the problem is still evident after the change, change the dip tube in the water heater and live happily ever after...Lots of luck...Bud.
