|In response to Re: Plastic pipe leak|
: I have a plastic pipe that is leaking from under the toilet in the guest bathroom.
: From the basement you can see the three inch pipe connection up to the coller going to the toilet.
: The leak is at the junction of that coller.
: what can I do to stop the leak.
: Can I put some kind of glue/sealer up in the joint?
: I'm afraid that it wont get up into the joint.
: Also the toilet has a small amount of water around the base , I replaced the wax gasket of the toilet could it be a bad toilet?
You may have to pull the toilet and put some blue glue on the joint from the inside. Or you may have to replace the floor flange and reinstall the toilet. are you sure it isn't the wax seal? Dale's Plumbing Service Inc LMP
