|In response to Re: New Bathroom Water Supply|
: I am installing a new bathroom in my basement. My house was built in 1941, and has 1/2" black pipe for the water supply. I am planning on using copper for the new supply lines. How can I connect the two where they will join? Is this black pipe common for water supply? I appreciate your response! Thanks!
Andrew, make sure that 1/2" blk pipe is not a gas line. It is very unusal to have water pipe run with blk pipe in a residential home. If in fact this is a blk pipe water line do yourself a good deed and repipe your house. I suggest a pex water system or cpvc pipe. Do not use PVC in the house.Dale's Plumbing Service Inc LMP
