Repair the faucet. We cannot tell you how to do that, however, since we do not know what kind of faucet you have. But, I would suspect you will be money ahead to have a plumber fix it. That way you will avoid damaging the faucet and then having a larger cost to make the repair. : How do I fix the leak in the shower. I has gone past the drip and now it is running?
