|In response to Re: closet flange|
: my toilet has been leaking so i removed it and scraped off the wax ring. under i found a minute crack barely visible on the outside of the flange. I assume this crack is causing the leak. the flange and piping is made of PVC. I want to remove the flange to replace it but i am afraid to muscle it too much and damage other piping. How do i get the flange out without damaging other piping?
: By the way if anyone has any roofing questions feel free to visit my website and email me.
: thanks, Dan
Dan, they have a repair flange that you can slip under the cracked side of the flange. I don't think this was the cause of the leak. Use a wax ring with a neopreme liner in the wax.If it is hot outside 100Degrees etc put the wax in the refridgerator for a bit. Soft hot wax will not make a good seal. Dale's Plumbing Service Inc LMP
