You don't connect a plastic flange to cast iron pipe. You either get a clamp-on cast-iron flange or use lead and oakum with a conventional cast iron flange. : I am installing a toliet in my basement. There is already a rough in (cast iron) for a toliet that is : at or a little below the cement floor level. How do I connect a plastic toliet flange to the cast iron pipe? : They is about a 1/2" space around the entire outside edge of the cast iron pipe.
