: What is a Dip Tube and where would it be located

The dip tube would be located at the cold water inlet. If you remove the pipe section, you will either lift out the plastic dip tube, or it will come out as a unit with the pipe section. If the tube is intact, fine. If it has broken off, it can be replaced.
