Some of the Flotec pumps are made with more plastic than others, but I don't know about the one you are using. That said, a friend has a Flotec laundry tray pump and it has been trouble-free for a couple of years now. More costly alternatives with good reputations are Gould and Zoeller. -Curt : Are Flotec ejector pumps reliable? We are installing a 1/2 HP heavy duty professional unit (model FPSE 3601A) to pump to a sewer connection 2' off basement floor and 2' away. Will handle laundry room and 4pc bathroom. : Thanks
