|In response to Re: Installing -bath in garage -- Vent Question|
Look at "Air Admitance Valves, AAV from Studor or Oatey. This venting valve may allow for an intallation that does not have to go through the roof or tie back to your other vent system.
: I'm installing a half-bath (shower & sink) in my garage for my handicapped mother-in-law to use while she's here. I have fairly easy access to a drain line, but I'm not so sure about a vent. I have a bonus room over the garage, so putting in a new vertical vent is a non-starter. How far horizontally can I stretch from my install to get to a vent line and still have an effective vent?
