Chris. Cut a 5" round hole for the drain hole. Install the drain useing silicone on the flange. This shower should set level on the floor unless it is wider than the tub. Use your skill saw and set it to the depth to cut only the thicknest you need to get to the sub floor and take that piece out. The drain will have to be 2" and it will have to be relocated.
