Bob:--Look very carefully at the plastic pipe in question (even if you need a magnifying glass ,as I do) It will give you the bad news...the name of the manufacturer...the astm number...the Trade Name. Write this information down for future reference. Also make a note of how the piping is joined...with copper crimp rings...gray color plastic fittings...aluminum crimp rings...copper fittings. Polybutylene can also be black, but will always have an ID name and number stamped or printed on it. Lots of luck....Bud..
