: I have a leaky drain in a fiberglas shower stall that is upstairs. It makes a small brown spot on the cieling below so it doesn't leak alot. I have taken the chrome cover off of the drain and it appears to have a rubber grommet aroung the approx.2 1/2" drain pipe. Is this the most probable place for a leak? How do I take this apart to put it back together with new plumbers putty or caulking?

Kris, when the drain was installed there was a special tool to tighten down a nut to compress the neopreme washer. You may have to improvise to loosen this nut to get the old gasket out and replace with a new one.Dale Peck LMP
